How to get the Best Effect from Loft Conversion Mirrors

Everyone knows that one of the first rules of interior design is that the use of mirrors makes a room feel bigger.
This applies throughout the home, and a new loft conversion is no exception.

Mirrors offer a quick and simple fix to adding more light and a spacious feel into a room, and all the best loft conversion ideas will make the most of mirrors within an attic conversion.

Mirrored Wardrobes

Installing fitted mirrored wardrobes is a great way of incorporating mirrors into your new loft conversion’s design, without sacrificing any wall space. Wardrobes within a loft conversion bedroom are a much-needed investment anyway, and by making them mirrored you will be killing two birds with one stone.

Mirrored wardrobes can be made to fit even awkward angles, and a complete wall of mirrors will bounce the light around and instantly make any loft conversion bedroom feel more spacious.

En-Suite Mirrors

All bathrooms need a mirror, but in a loft conversion, your en-suite may not receive as much natural light as a normal bathroom would. If you’re looking to install a mirror with in a loft conversion en-suite bathroom or dressing room, why not install an illuminated model? With extra lights around the top and bottom, an illuminated mirror makes the perfect accessory for a low lighting space.

Focal Point Mirrors

Chimney breasts are traditionally a focal point within a loft conversion. So why not enhance this feature within your interior design? Choose a stylish, bold mirror and really make a focal point of your chimney breast.

For example, if you have a grey colour scheme, choose a striking silver mirror, perhaps in a circular sunray design. If you favour something a little more rustic, speak to your loft conversion company about leaving the chimney breast as exposed brick, and hang a shabby-chic wooden framed mirror upon it to draw the eye towards the feature.

There are lots of ways that you can use mirrors within a loft conversion and all of them will help multiply the amount of natural light within the room.

If you’re unsure how much natural light you’ll have in your new loft conversion, or how best to use mirrors, speak to a specialist loft conversion company. Here at Bespoke Lofts, there’s no smoke and mirrors when it comes to our advice; we’ll light up your loft conversion in no time!
