Alternatively, opt for woollen throws and runners that you can drape at the end of a bed, or over the back of a sofa.
Wooden Tones
Anything inspired by nature will always give a home a cosy feel, which is perfect for the autumn months. Brown tones bring a sense of comfort to any room and work particularly well in a loft conversion if there are already the likes of wooden beams.
Why not add a few wooden accessories, such as a natural wood side table, bedside cabinet or even a wooden inspired table lamp? Anything slightly rustic will enhance the cosy, autumnal feel.
Candles and Lighting
If you know anything about the Danish concept of hygge, you’ll be aware that candles are ranked highly within the idea of creating a cosy, warm space. Candlelight is romantic: it’s simple, and it’s calming. Use scented candles to help you relax further still.
