The stunning loft conversion housing a boutique style bedroom and contemporary open plan bathroom in Richard and Jackie’s Chingford home has exceeded all their expectations.
The couple’s large terraced house already had a rear extension so we drew up plans for a double dormer conversion adjoining onto the extension. The brief was for an open plan space that was flooded with natural light. We opted for a split level room with subtle, clever storage cupboards to divide the space where necessary and keep the sleek, boutique feel of the room flowing.
To ensure the conversion would be drenched in uplifting natural light, our design experts factored in lots of extra-large Velux windows and two sets of French doors and created a contemporary dome feature in the bathroom area which allowed for two more Velux windows. The result is a striking split level open plan room with a private shower area and sumptuous stand-alone bath that is light, airy and spacious.
